I recently had the privilege of speaking at PPA’s annual photographic convention, Imaging USA, which was held in Atlanta this year. It has been one of my goals to speak atImaging USA since I opened my studio back in 2010, and I can now check that one off my bucket list. I was determined to be there to speak, and, if you caught my platform, you may have noticed that I was close to being nine months pregnant! Nothing was going to keep me away, and I, of course, had such a great time that I would love to do it again!
Imaging USA is such a wonderful educational experience for photographers. It is so important to invest in yourself and your business, and this convention is a great place to start. In January, I spoke on the topic of how to Develop your Unique Style and Artistic Vision in Pet Photography. Having a unique vision and style in your work is one of the most important aspects of your photography because it is what sets you and your studio apart. Especially now since there are so many photographers out there.
I also touched on the importance of incorporating yourself and your uniqueness into your brand because people want to work with people they can identify with and trust. There are so many photographers in the same market space now that you have to work hard to set yourself apart. So, why not use your most valuable asset? You!
If you’re not sure how to bring out your unique style and vision, I recently created an Idea Book. My Idea Book is a guide to help you not only bring out your style in your photography, but it will also help you brand, market, choose products for, and sell your unique style to your ideal client. I first unveiled my Idea Book at Imaging USA after my platform, and the response has been amazing! You can click here for more information or to snag your own copy.
